Spring 2013 Hand Quilting Blog Hop, Day 7

We have made it through a whole week of blog hopping around the world.  I hope you have enjoyed it!
Since there are many of you that have a blog, and are members of the Celebrate Hand Quilting Facebook group, you do know that you can let us know when you post a great article on a quilt you are working on, right?  It’s easy to do… just copy the blog address with that particular post, and paste the address into Facebook on our group’s page.  That way everyone will know to go check it out.
If you visit one of the blogs posted below, please be sure and say hello by leaving a comment.  It’s nice to know where you are from as well, so if you could include your location (state or country) when you leave a comment, that would be fabulous!
Today’s blogs await you:

Thanks for participating in the Spring 2013 Blog Hop.  We hope you have enjoyed it half as much as we have!
Keep on stitching… we’ll do this again in the fall!

Spring 2013 Hand Quilting Blog Hop, Day 4

I hope you have enjoyed Days 1, 2 and 3 of the Spring 2013 Hand Quilting Blog Hop!  The blog hop is a great way to see some blogs you might have missed, and get to know some quilters that you didn’t know before.  Another great way to get to know other hand quilters is by visiting our Facebook group.  There is a great group of dedicated quilters there… actually, we now have 600 quilters in that group!

Here are the blogs for Day 4.  Today we travel around Europe.  For those of you on other continents, this is a fun way to travel (and much less expensive than packing a bag and hopping on a plane!).

We hope you will enjoy your visit to each blog, and be sure and say hello while you are there by leaving a comment.  It’s nice to know where you are from as well, so if you could include your location (state or country) when you leave a comment, that would be fabulous!

Spring 2013 Hand Quilting Blog Hop, Day 3

I hope you have enjoyed Days 1 and 2 of the Hand Quilting Blog Hop!  We have really enjoyed sharing these great blogs with you.  I’m hearing some wonderful feedback from hand quilters all around the world, so it sounds like this is working!  We wanted a way to share with other hand quilters.  Sometimes when you’re a hand quilter, it seems as if you are the ONLY person left on the planet who quilts by hand.  That is just not so!

Here are the blogs for Day 2.  We hope you will enjoy your visit to each blog, and be sure and say hello while you are there by leaving a comment.  It’s nice to know where you are from as well, so if you could include your location (state or country) when you leave a comment, that would be fabulous!

Inspiration

Usually when I need inspiration, I check out my quilt books. Sometimes that's a book on Celtic symbols, or a book on textile design or the flowers in my garden. But to make something different, inspiration for quilting designs can come from the strangest areas.

How about fences made by blacksmiths:

Islamic tiles:

Ice on windows:

And mozaic:

How about textures as metal sheets?

Or a special Escher-grid?

Inspiration for hand quilting is everywhere!

Have fun quilting!
