2013 coming up!

2013 is coming and I am looking forward to the new year. I plan to do lots of hand quilting on a project that has been Work In Progress since 2003. What? Yep, 2003.

It was my first big project, pieced by hand. I couldn't get myself to finishing it. I laid it aside and worked on many other projects. The quilt is now on my frame again. I have one small quilt to finish (1'x1'), and then I hope to finish the quilt in 2013. That's 10 years of experience in one. I wanted to finish it in 2012, but hey, my book release got in the way ;-)

This year I won't visit the US as often. There will be way more time for hand quilting! Look forward to what you will be working on in 2013!

  1. Your stitching is beautiful, Annemart! And I love the wooden additions on the top of your quilt frame. Did those come with the frame, or do I know who made those for you?!!?

    1. Hi Caron, thanks... The wooden additions were made by an uncle of my spouse. The additions that holds all my stuff is inspired by a design by Jasmine Heirloom, with a mini quilt with trapunto made by me, and the armrest is his own design. Your husband can do this too! :-)

  4. Interesting to see your quilt frame - looks very organised. I am still toying with taking up hand quilting again (do so love the finish). Am very curious about how everyone manages it these days!!

    1. It's a matter of making time! For me it's like brushing my teeth. If I don't do it, it makes me feel incomplete.
