Love Having a Quilt in the Hoop During the Holidays!

By Audrey

I thought I would do a quick post about the latest quilt I've put in the hoop.  It is a pattern called 'Antique Medallion' by Cheri Ralston that I finished up a few years ago.  I love how cheerful and bright it is!
This seemed like a great quilt to be working on through the holidays.  I'm making all the quilting decisions as I go along, trying to get it right without stressing overly much.  I marked the center with a blue marker, then washed it out immediately after finishing since I'm always a bit nervous about marking.  It's been recommended to me that I might actually enjoy having a Hera Marker so I won't have to deal with that particular stress!
It always feels good to have a quilt in the hoop during the busy time of the holidays when it's not always convenient to get into the quilting room.  Hope you can do the same!

  1. I too find hand quilting to be the perfect holiday break. I have been quilting the same red and green applique quilt the last few years but I only seem to work on it during Nov. and Dec. Maybe this will be the year to finish!

    Bonne vacances
